Since 1970 GASTEC Corporation has become one of the leader manufactures of direct reading detector tubes, instruments (including alarm meters) for detecting / measuring oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, as well as other toxic gases; ancillary equipment concerning gas measurement (sampling, correcting, etc.).
Our range of application includes environmental assessment (atmosphere, indoor air, workplace, etc.) process management, research, medical treatment, education, and miscellaneous industrial uses.
GASTEC gas detector tubes are thin glass tubes with calibration scales printed on them so you can directly read concentrations of the substances (gases and vapors) to be measured. Each tube contains a particulate matrix (e.g. silica gel, alumina) which binds carefully selected and highly stable detection reagents that are especially sensitive to the target substance in order to produce a distinct layer of color change. The tubes are hermetically sealed at both ends.
Today over 600 types of target gas can be measured.
